Law of Acceleration-Being able to apply force after movement has began or make a sharp increase in force production. The law of gravity and the law of reaction lead us to this point and show us how posture/balance, core strength, stability, flexibility, and reaction time effect our movement and efficiency. Being able to control your body through the previous concepts will allow the body to move in the right direction, at the right time, with the right amount of force produced. The law of acceleration does not advocate that every movement you make will be done as quickly as possible, but that through a balanced body, the proper amount of force will be produced when needed. As bodily speed increases and direction, proprioception is enhanced. Proprioception is enhanced through stretch, compressio, tension, and the rate/intensity of that stretch. As you move (because of gravity, momentum, ground reaction force, and acceleration) the body must overcome a greater mass (2-5 times body weight when walking, 5-11 times body with while running and jumping) on a single leg. The body must respond and decide what it must do more quickly and continue to develop form there (motor learning and skill development).
